The Joy of Burnout: A Journey to Well-Being
Hello there!
Wow, what a journey it has been. I am so grateful and lucky that well-being chose me. I used to be a stressed-out events organiser and volunteer coordinator many moons ago. That said, I still plan well-being events and retreats, but the sixteen-hour days are a distant memory. Many times in my life, I have experienced burnout from work and play.
A Transformative Experience
I chose a new path while travelling in Asia. I received the best Thai massage I've ever had from a wise old man whose eyes truly were the windows to his soul. This happened in a treehouse in Koh Tao in 1994! Yes, I had been raving at Koh Tao's full moon party. Yes, I felt the fear of the day after in the blistering sun. Yet moments after the treatment finished, I floated down the ladder from the treehouse and felt completely renewed. I knew from that moment I wanted to learn how to help others feel the way I did that day.
The Pursuit of Knowledge
I set about learning everything I could about touch, nutrition, yoga, energy, and intention. The latter is of utmost importance. Coming from an alternative background, I had learned much already about so-called "woo woo" stuff. I learned to take it or leave it, depending on what "woo" it was!
Yet it was in burnout that I was forced to grow and evolve. Often, our bodies, minds, and the universe shout at us to change. Do we listen? Hmmm? Sometimes it's just a sign, a message, a word, a vision, a dream, or even just a feeling that comes to us. Yes, we can; yes, you can. You can listen to your inner self, your gut feeling, and your intuition and shift!

Set Your Intention and Watch!
Anyway, why am I wittering on about all this? Well, I'm inviting you to listen to yourself, to what you know to be true, and to make that step. You will be guided; you can be your authentic self, a resonant being, YES!
Gratitude, Folks.
The Power of Gratitude
If I think back over my life, through many traumas, dramas, losses, and hard times, I have actually had an amazing life. Many of the things I yearned for have come to pass, perhaps not in the way I thought they would and not straight away either. However, by practicing gratitude, I have learned to see all that I have and be grateful for it!
I often wonder if I had known then what I know now about trusting in my path, about listening to the signs, and about gratitude; how things would have been different. But that is my journey. What's yours? Share your journey with me in a message, and if you like, we can publish it here.
Embracing New Beginnings
The Spring Equinox and that Year of the Fire Horse have brought in fresh hope and a highly energetic start. I can feel the energy whizzing around me and through me! Can you? Wishing you all a wonderful day. Don't forget to say thank you, and don't forget to look up!
